1. About the Talent Pool

TranslaStars Talent Pool ("the Platform") is a directory of verified localization professionals who have completed courses through TranslaStars. It connects trained graduates with recruiters and companies seeking language services talent.

2. Definitions

"Student" / "Talent" – A TranslaStars course graduate who has opted into the directory and created a visible profile.

"Recruiter" / "Company" – A registered user who subscribes to access and contact talent on the Platform.

"Profile" – The public listing of a Student on the Platform, containing information they choose to share.

"Subscription" – A recurring monthly fee paid by Recruiters to access Platform features including contact and messaging.

3. For Students (Talent)

3.1 Opt-In

Your presence on the Platform is entirely voluntary. You must explicitly opt in and claim your profile. No profile appears publicly without your consent.

3.2 Profile Control

You control what appears on your profile: name, photo, headline, bio, languages, occupation, work preferences, and which completed courses are visible. You may update or remove any of these at any time via your profile page.

3.3 Opt-Out

You may remove your profile from the Platform at any time. Removal is processed immediately and your information will no longer be publicly visible. You may reactivate later by signing in again.

3.4 Data Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. TranslaStars may verify course completions through its internal records but is not responsible for verifying other claims (employment history, certifications, etc.).

3.5 Communication

By opting in, you agree to receive messages from recruiters through the Platform's messaging system. Your email address is never shared directly with recruiters. You may reply to recruiters through the Platform.

4. For Recruiters (Subscribers)

4.1 Subscription

Access to contact and message talent requires an active monthly subscription at the stated fee. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4.2 Acceptable Use

As a Recruiter you agree to:

• Use the Platform solely for legitimate recruitment and hiring purposes
• Provide accurate information about yourself and your organisation
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with talent
• Not spam, harass, or send unsolicited commercial messages
• Not scrape, crawl, or bulk extract profile data

4.3 Prohibited Conduct

You may NOT:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Platform to contact talent for purposes other than recruitment (e.g. sales, marketing, surveys)
• Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the Platform's data or code

4.4 Reporting

If a Recruiter engages in prohibited conduct, talent may report them through the Platform. TranslaStars reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without refund.

5. Data & Privacy

5.1 What We Collect

We collect the information you voluntarily provide (name, email, profile details, course history). We also collect usage data necessary for Platform operation (login sessions, messages, interactions).

5.2 How We Use It

Profile information is displayed publicly as part of the directory. Email addresses are used for authentication (magic links) and Platform notifications (messages from recruiters, replies from talent). TranslaStars does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for their own use.

5.3 Data Retention

Student profiles remain visible until the student opts out or requests deletion. Recruiter account data is retained as long as the subscription is active and for a reasonable period after cancellation for record-keeping purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

5.4 Third-Party Services

The Platform uses Mailjet for email delivery and Upstash Redis for data storage. These services process data in accordance with their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

6. Limitation of Liability

TranslaStars provides the Platform as a directory and communication tool. We do not:

• Guarantee the accuracy of all profile information
• Vet or endorse any recruiter or company
• Guarantee employment outcomes for talent
• Guarantee successful hiring outcomes for recruiters

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TranslaStars is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of TranslaStars. Profile content submitted by users remains the property of the respective user, who grants TranslaStars a license to display it on the Platform for the purpose of operating the directory.

8. Changes to These Terms

TranslaStars may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Registered users will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Málaga, Spain.
